Dr. Rohit Bakshi is an internationally recognized neurologist and neuroimaging expert whose career has been defined by a dedication to advancing the understanding and treatment of neurologic disease. He serves as the Jack, Sadie & David Breakstone Professor of Neurology and Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Mass General Brigham, where he leads clinical, research, and educational initiatives at the intersection of neurology and advanced imaging.
Dr. Bakshi’s academic path began at Cornell University and continued through medical training at the University at Buffalo. He went on to complete a neuroscience research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital and a neurology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. He later pursued specialized training in neuroimaging at the Dent Neurologic Institute, shaping the foundation for his lifelong work in imaging‑based discovery and clinical translation.
