Dr. Joseph Fritz, PhD, assumed the role of ASN president in January 2023. He has been involved in neuroimaging R&D as well as clinical management for over 30 years. He was director of clinical science for two international medical imaging companies and is the former CEO of Dent Neurologic Institute. a comprehensive neurology group practice in Western New York with a long history of leadership in imaging training, product co-creation with industry, and development of a comprehensive community sector neurology platform. He cofounded NeuroNetPro and NeuroNetGPO to improve the sustainability of neurology private practices, and to help reform the neurology delivery model around value-based care concepts.
His society level contributions include 25+ years member of the American Society of Neuroimaging, and Committee level work within the American Academy of Neurology committees including Chair of the AAN’s Business Section, vice-chair of the Axon Registry Committee, co-chair of the APP Workgroup, and Practice, Medical Economics and Co-Chair of the Imaging Section.
Locally, Dr. Fritz Chaired the Western New York Population Health Collaborative, and in 2019, Dr. Fritz was recognized by Buffalo Business First for his C-level accomplishments. He regularly publishes and presents on Imaging Technology, the business of neurology and in areas of neuroscience research. and Management, Payment Policy, Health Services Research Group, and Practice Management and Technology.
